Preview Videos May Be Discontinued
As the title says, I think I'll have to discontinue making preview videos for every airport I edit in FSX. This whole month so far I've been too busy with school to work on any airport editing, and more than likely next summer I'll start real-world flight training (aiming for a pilot job as my career) and the time frame to work on any airports will be greatly reduced to near 0 since I won't have access to my PC that has ADE for airport editing. So because there are still many airport I want to do in this short time frame, I'm canning the preview videos for the most part unless I do find some time to do a video for any airport. Filming takes at least maybe 10 minutes and editing takes 30-60 minutes. With YouTube editor gone, I only have Microsoft Moviemaker which I STILL haven't tried figuring it out. I also haven't flown any actual flights on FSX for over a month thanks to school and other things and I'm quickly losing proficiency, AND I'm supposed to start my IFR training this fall which hasn't happened yet. So, unless I happen to find some time to figure out Moviemaker and shoot all the shots and edit them, preview videos are going to be discontinued since they are just a chain ball weighing progress down. If I still had maybe another 2 years or so before I start flight training (and college) I could still keep doing the videos but things in life are really starting to pickup and I just don't have time for the videos.
With that, I'm going to upload Kendall Airstrip this weekend without a video and without the other private airstrip. Future airstrips and airports that I don't know too well won't have immense detail anymore. The detail radius will focus solely around the airport and maybe minor surroundings (like add a missing town like Kendall was missing in the original scenery).
